SNOOOOOOWWW! Wow it is finally here! Yes, I am one of those odd types you love to hate. But snow means Christmas is almost here! Anyways, what an eventful couple of weeks! The end of the semester is quickly approaching, and the assignments, projects, presentations are piling up! Ah well, I think I got them all under wraps, so I’m not too worried.
Well, I’m going to get to something more exciting. I made the newspaper the Calgary Herald the other day! Here is the letter I wrote:
Re: Snow wrecking havok on Calgary Streets.
My usual drive home from school usually takes me no longer then 30 minutes. Tonight, it took me nearly 3 hours to get home. Although the drive was long, I noticed many great things about the citizens of Calgary. The thing that struck me most was the number of people out there helping people get unstuck or pushing cars up icy streets. It was obvious that some of these individuals out there had been doing so for hours at the expense of their own time and safety. Some might say Calgary has lost some of its good citizens, but I don't believe it. Thank you to all those out there that took their time to help commuters! It is great to see that Calgary still has wonderful citizens.
I think it is time for a rant though.. there is nothing I hate more than people whining about the lack of plows on city streets. This happens EVERY year when the first snowfall comes. How are the plows going to get anywhere when the streets are like a giant moving parking lot? Complain when you invent plows that can drive through cars, then you can. Ok enough of that, but seriously!
Here are some pictures!!!

Well, if you have been reading my previous posts, I was taking pictures of the ACAL Volleyball finals that were held here at Ambrose. Altogether, my friend and I took around 4500 pictures! It was a crazy experience to shoot these pictures. In terms of results, our ladies won bronze, playing 3 exciting and nailbiting games en route to the medal Our guys won silver in a final that featured the top two volleyball teams in the ACAL.
Well, that is all for now. I think I am going to be stuck at school while waiting out this snow storm. Thankfully I brought my sleeping bag along with me today!
